This was our first fishing trip with our son Kevin. The previous night as my husband was keeping the rod, line, bait, etc. ready, Kevin was watching and helping him and had numerous questions (how, why, what, where, when).
The next morning Kevin came waking us, “Ma, get up. We’re going fishing right?” After a 20 min drive, we walked towards the river. “There’s the river” Kevin said excitedly. It was so beautiful and green around the place. The trees were swinging, soft breeze was blowing and the river water was clear. Seeing the small fishes in the water Kevin jumped in excitement.
My husband gave him the rod and told him how to cast it in the water. We then waited patiently but didn’t have to wait long as he soon felt a tug at his line. He pulled the rod towards him. My husband advised him to stay calm and roll in his line slowly. Kevin did that and the fish was finally out of the water. My husband took the hook out of the fish’s mouth. It was a medium-sized fish. Do I need to tell you how excited Kevin was? During the next hour he managed to catch two more fish.
All of us had an absolutely wonderful time fishing.

Pet Fish?
Pets are indeed real stress busters. Be it a cat or dog or fish all they give their owner is happiness and satisfaction. When I say satisfaction, I mean it because they love you for what you are and have no expectations from you. While cat and dog can sense and feel many of us don’t know that even fishes have feelings. They have moods and are quite aggressive. If you have a fish tank at home watch your fishes and you will notice their emotions.
Whether it is a fresh water fish or salt water fish each has its own behavior pattern. It is very easy to maintain fish as a pet. While buying a pet fish all you need to make sure is that you have clean water at your place and lots of interest to take care of your pet. Fish food is simple and you can get it at a pet store. Make sure you change the water in the bowl regularly. While cleaning the bowl, remove and place the fish in another bowl of water. The life term of a pet fish depends upon how much care you have taken and how much interest you have shown on your pet.

Fish Types
There are many kinds of fishes in this world. Research has found that more than 25,000 types of fishes are available in this world. Mostly they are classified into two types. Fresh water fishes and salt water fishes. Tropical fish, cold water fish, marine fish to name a few.
Tropical fish needs a warm climate to live in. The temperature should be minimum and it should be able to breathe in the warmth of the water. Though you should avoid direct sunlight on the fish tank, still tropical fishes thrive only in warm climate.
Coldwater fish can live in cold water and cold climate as well. Marine fish lives only in salt water and can live only in the sea. You cannot have a marine fish as a pet.
Fresh water fish is the most favored pet amongst the fishes. These fishes are found in ponds, rivers and inlet streams. They are in myriad colors and very beautiful in appearance. They can be used for ornamental purposes. Hence fresh water fishes are popular and easily available in the market. Since their maintenance expenses are nil it is easy to have fresh water fishes like Goldfish as a pet at home.
